(5) The Commission's rules concerning Commercial Operator Licenses are set forth in 47 CFR Part 13. At this point, individuals serving as radio officers OIL board radiotelegraph equipped vessels or GMDSS vessels must pass a written test in order to obtain the requisite certificates.
